On Friday, March 8th 2019 at 7pm, we will be screening the documentary entitled When I Stutter at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Mark your calendars!

Filmmaker John Gomez (pictured) will be coming in from Los Angeles to present his documentary and will then take part in a Q & A session later in the evening. This part of the event will be in English, and will be led by Josephine Torossian from the student group Tangled Tongues. Both the ABC and Tangled Tongues, who are co-hosting the event, would like to thank John for his presence.

When I Stutter, released in 2017, follows 19 individuals who stutter over the course of 4 years. Their stories are presented alongside facts regarding stuttering. The film also follows a young man in therapy, and the building of trust between him and his speech-language pathologist. Overall, When I Stutter provides a humanistic and touching message about stuttering.

The documentary was presented at numerous film festivals across the world and has won several awards, notably the Supporter of People with Fluency Disorders Award from the International Fluency Association.

The ABC is proud to host this event and to have financed the subtitling of the documentary in French.
